  • Want to learn about digital product design?

    Flipside is a paid, industry-led bootcamp introducing you to the basics in digital product design. It is designed and created by some of London’s leading digital agencies, including: Beyond, BIO Agency, Made by Many, Sennep, The Skills Lab and ustwo. Flipside is aimed at helping young east Londoners gain the mindsets, skills and behaviours that will help them break into industry.

    What you will get:

    • Three months of exclusive hands-on training led by some of the best digital agencies in the world
    • Live group projects to build your portfolio
    • A rotating programme with multiple agencies to learn and network with
    • The opportunity to interview for paid positions at agencies
    • An industry mentor to support you in achieving your goals
    • A training bursary of £200 per week to cover travel, food expenses and a bit extra for the duration of the training (up to £2,400 for the duration)

    The Inspiring Success programme provides employability support and access to 100% funded bursary study places at Loughborough University London for unemployed or underemployed graduates from the East London Growth Boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

    Employability workshop series

    The first method of guidance and support is offered through a series of evening workshops which have been designed to encourage graduates to develop new skills, reflect on their experiences and market themselves to potential employers. The workshops cover topics such as positive thinking and the significance of mindset and resilience in the context of job hunting or career progression. Sessions will include practical networking opportunities with employers such as BT Sport, Here East and Morgan Stanley and run from 3 June to 2 July.

    Poplar Works - Fashion District is a new space for fashion in East London. Poplar HARCA, London College of Fashion, UAL and The Trampery have developed Poplar Works together over the past years and will be opening in November 2019. 

    There are over forty studios across our two sites, as well as training spaces, a small production unit and a café. Studios range from 114 – 298 ft2 and start at £200 a month. The studios at Poplar Works are open to anyone working in the fashion economy – designers, makers, photographers, jewellers and more.
