Living Art Festival celebrates arts and culture in the community, with a whole day of fun across the north of the Park!
Join in with the interactive and creative workshops for everyone to enjoy and take your artistic creations home with you afterwards! Choose from painting, drawing, pottery, African drumming and enjoy live bands, dance performances, food stalls and much more:
• IROKO Theatre African Drumming and Storytelling
• Weave, wind, join and assemble a giant birds nest
• Discover the complete Bird Box Avenue collection
• Create your own unique Bag for Life
• Sculpt and shape clay with the help of expert ceramists
• Make your drawings in to a colouring book
All aboard the land train!
Take a trip across the Park on the land train, which will be running from Friday 24 - Monday 27 August at 11am - 5pm (last boarding time at 4pm).
Departing from the Park Information Point, the train operates on a loop around the Park, passing each stop approximately twice an hour. A full loop takes around an hour and is accompanied by a Park tour guide. Fares include single and day rider journeys and range from:
- Children: £1 - £3
- Adult: £2 - £4
- Group tickets are also available. Please ask the guard for details.

It's one of the last Bank Holiday weekends of the year, so make sure you make the most of it on the Park. Join us on Monday 28 August for the East London Waterways Festival to celebrate the restoration of the waterways with plenty of free, fun and interactive activities. With dragon boating, canoeing taster sessions, food and drink stalls, live entertainment and much more, there is something for everyone over the long weekend make sure you get the date in your diary!
