February half-term at the Park

February half-term at the Park

Story 08/02/2022

Looking for family-fun and adventure this half-term? Look no further than Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a park like no other. It’s set to be an iconic year at the Park as we celebrate 10 years since the London 2012 Games, and this February half-term is no exception.

Kids go free on Skyline Views tickets this half-term

Don’t miss out on this deal at the ArcelorMittal Orbit! It’s open every day this half-term and Kids go free on all Skyline Views tickets (14 – 18 February). Simply enter the code KGF22 at the checkout when purchasing your adult tickets. With panoramic views of the city, you and the kids can have a go at spotting all of London’s landmarks with the help of our interactive touch screens and information panels. And don't forget to look inwards, too. The sculpture includes a set of mind-bending concave mirrors - perfect selfie content.

A romantic offer in the sky at the ArcelorMittal Orbit

For a break from the kids, and a romantic half-term treat for you and your loved one, feast your eyes on London’s city skyline from 80 meters in the sky. Top it off with a glass of prosecco and a luxury box of truffles, or for a very special treat, enjoy a private viewing experience followed by a 3-course meal at Haugen. Offer ends on 14 February.

Aquasplash and Better Swim at the London Aquatics Centre

I’ts known for its state of the art pools and diving boards, but during half-term the London Aquatics Centre transforms into a mega, inflatable obstacle course. Aquasplash is back! Dive, duck, and try not to fall off as you make your way through. Are you and the family up for the challenge?

The London Aquatic Centre is also offering Better Swim School Holiday Short Courses throughout half-term to help the little ones perfect their front-crawl.

A botanical oasis in the heart of east London

Despite being in an iconic part of east London, the Park is a botanical oasis and a perfect escape for you and the family. Get lost in beautiful gardens, bursting with some of the rarest flowers from across the world.

Stroll through picturesque canal paths, or take it all in from the water with our swan pedalos.

Want to turn things up a notch? Let the kids run free in one of the Park’s free adventure playgrounds. Choose from Tumbling Bay in the north of the Park, with slides, treehouses and bridges or Pleasure Gardens in the south, with challenging climbing frames.

A fantastic range of food and drink

You’ll be sure to work up an appetite on your half-term visit. The Park is home to several cafés and restaurants, offering a range of mouth-watering eats. Whether it’s freshly roasted artisan coffee and a light lunch at The Last Drop Café or Timber Lodge Café, or lunch on the go at one of our kiosks for everything from American-style burgers to Greek gyros, and much more!

A world-class sports venue

The Park is every sports enthusiast’s dream this half-term. Cheer on the London Lions as they take on the Leicester Riders at the Copper Box Arena for the 2021/22 British Basketball League season. And there’s more - West Ham are set to take on Newcastle at the London Stadium, plus London Pulse are back for the Vitality Netball Superleague.

Get behind the scenes

Whether you’re a life-long West-Ham United fan, or a sports aficionado, get behind the scenes at one of London’s most iconic sports venues. Book a tour of the London Stadium and discover some of the most memorable moments from the last ten years.

You can also join one of our guided walking tours, led by one of our expert Champion volunteer guides.  A decade on from the London 2012 Games, learn everything about the Park’s inception, right through to where we are today.

Remember, the Park is free to enter and open daily - whether you plan on popping in for a quick visit or making a full day of it, getting to the Park is easier than ever with the London Overground, Jubilee and Central Lines as well as a range of other transport options within walking distance of the Park.
