The theme of this year's event is 'wind' which will be explored across a wide range of fun activities and creative disciplines.

The day will offer a flurry of specialist making practices, breathing life into rope-making, basketry, parachute stitching, enzymatic plastic recycling and screenprinting. Cook up a storm with torched cheese on toast, then dip into a pizza dough paddling pool and marvel at the Materials Library. Try your hand at a wide range of blustery activities: from panpipes and propellers to Stirling engines and a ‘wind-o-graphy’ catwalk. Investigate the inner workings of a hot air balloon and take a ride in a homemade electric Hovercraft.
