As London advances its net zero ambitions, demand for retrofit, clean energy and green skills is growing rapidly. Yet the workforce required to deliver this transformation is not being developed at the pace or scale needed.
We want to create a Green Futures Hub to meet this challenge.
The Green Futures Hub will be London's first dedicated climate transition hub, bringing together skills, innovation and community engagement in one place.
With the right investment and support, our ambition is to establish a nationally recognised centre that supports housing decarbonisation, strengthens sector capacity, and demonstrates a model for inclusive green skills that can be scaled and adopted across the UK.

Our vision is to create a place where industry, education and communities come together to accelerate London’s climate transition. With retrofit at its core, the Hub will evolve alongside emerging technologies and industry demand, supporting the wider transformation of London’s built environment.
What the Hub Will Offer
What the Hub Will Offer
The Hub will provide practical, employer-led training and clear pathways into green careers, helping build the workforce and industry capacity needed. Purpose-built training environments will recreate the conditions, challenges and standards of real retrofit projects, including full-scale housing rigs and capacity to support commercial retrofit training across the following levels:
- Technical qualifications (levels 1-4)
- Apprenticeships
- Adult education
- Commercial CPD and Employer Upskilling.

A central principle of the Hub's design is active community engagement, including:
- Community workshops
- Climate engagement activities for schools
- Information to local audiences on how they can get involved.
- Events demonstrating retrofit technologies
