East Autumn School is a brand-new, free creative learning programme at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for 12-17 year olds who live or study in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.
Taking place over one exciting week from Monday 26 October - Thursday 29 October, the programme is packed with hands-on workshops, behind-the-scenes experiences and opportunities to learn from people working in some of east London's most exciting organisations.
From joining an e-sports event planning course to going backstage at ABBA Voyage for a workshop in lighting and audio design, there are a wide range of different interactive workshops which are led by organisations from across the Park and east London.
You’ll have the chance to explore creative, cultural and educational industries, discover career pathways you may never have considered and gain real-world skills, confidence and experience to take your skills to the next step.

Backstage at ABBA Voyage: Lighting, Audio & Production Workshop
A unique behind-the-scenes industry experience where you’ll work directly with ABBA Voyage's technical teams to explore live event production, lighting design, audio engineering and stage management.
BBC Young Composer: Making Music Without Boundaries with V&A East
Inspired by Black British music, this BBC Young Composer course in collaboration with the V&A East Museum and Young Sounds UK invites you to explore music production. From composition to sampling, sequencing to arranging, you'll gain hands-on experience creating your own tracks while exploring the key elements behind different musical genres.
Making of an E-sports Event: Staffordshire University
Level up your e-sports skills beyond just playing the game. Explore the exciting jobs and skills that make e-sports events possible and learn by designing and running your own event, building valuable skills for future study and careers.

Design for Tomorrow: Sustainability and Making
Get hands-on and challenge yourself to think like a designer and maker by using innovative materials and sustainable manufacturing to create products with impact. Through practical activities and creative problem-solving, you'll develop ideas that could help build a greener future.
Through Your Lens: Creative Storytelling with X7eaven
Discover how Black creativity has shaped history, from African traditions and Lindy Hop to jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop. Through movement, discussion and storytelling, you'll explore personal experiences that matter to you while building confidence and developing new creative skills. The course culminates in the creation of a short film that captures your voice, movement and unique perspective.
