Written by Lennie James, Storm Damage centres on Danny, a teacher who returns to the children’s care home where he grew up after witnessing violent behaviour among his students. 

As he reconnects with the troubled teenagers living there, Danny confronts his own past while trying to guide young people caught between neglect, anger and the pressures of urban life. 

The film offers a compassionate yet unsparing look at the alienation faced by Black working-class youth in Britain and the fragile possibilities of mentorship and care.
