Park Updates
The South Park Waterworks Fountains
The South Park Waterworks Fountains are open every day, running from 10am to 5pm.
However, during London Stadium events and West Ham match days, the fountains will be turned off 3 hours before kick‑off.
The fountains will be turned off between the below times, to facilitate attendee movement for the Take That concert at London Stadium:
- Thursday 25th June: 12:00pm - 5:00pm
- Friday 26th June: Between 12:00pm - 5:00pm
- Saturday 27th June: 12:00pm - 5:00pm

London Stadium Monier Triangle Use | 26.05.26 - 07.08.26
London Stadium will be undertaking activity at Monier Triangle between Tuesday 26th May - Friday 7th August 2026.

Playtime Padel will be taking place on Mandeville Place from 09.07.26 to 30.08.26.

Riverside Blue Green Algae | Warning
If you swim through or swallow blue green algae, you could suffer from severe skin rashes, eye irritation, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and pains in muscles and joints. Protect yourself and your animals by keeping away from the algae and the water close to it.
Construction Works
East Wick & Sweetwater Phase III
Carpenters Road West
Construction works will be taking place along Carpenters Road West from October 2025 until August 2026.
Works will include: a new parallel crossing to east of White Post Lane Bridge, improved visibility for cyclists across the Clarnico Lane and Sweetwater junction, new on-road cycle lanes to each side of the road, upgraded crossing points, and an off-road bi-directional cycle track to north side of road which connects with the existing track.
Pool Street
Disruption is expected to continue in the Pool Street area until Autumn 2026.
Works are being undertaken to facilitate improvements to the public realm, which will include improved walking, cycling and bus infrastructure, new green spaces including rain gardens and tree planting. Works are being coordinated by London Legacy Development Corporation and UCL East to reduce disruption.
Marshgate Lane
Construction work is ongoing until late summer 2026 and is being delivered by LB Newham.
Work to upgrade the existing Greenway ramp from Marshgate Lane is underway, with an upgraded crossing over Marshgate Lane to follow. Additional CCTV and art installation in the rail underpass towards Pudding Mill Station will be delivered in parallel.

The Fixed Estate Charge was developed to contribute towards the cost of maintaining Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s parklands and its facilities, as an Estate for the enjoyment of all those living on, working in or visiting the Park.

Bridget’s Café and Chobham Manor Community Centre
At the heart of Chobham Manor is the community centre and Bridget’s Café! The Chobham Manor community centre has a programme of activities taking place throughout the week for local people to participate and also is a hireable space for the local community to use. Bridget’s café runs a work-based training programme for adults with additional needs. They aim to recruit and train up to 20 people in a variety of roles, giving opportunities to groups of people traditionally under-represented in the workforce.
Badu Sports Café
BADU, a Black-led non-profit organisation was founded with the aim of offering unparalleled support to families, schools and local systems. Now BADU have launched a café at Hackney Bridge which is the organisation’s first outpost of its kind. Serving coffee, cakes and freshly made sandwiches, BADU Cafe takes the traditional cafe concept and does something amazing for the community. Find out more.
The LightHouse and Gardens
The LightHouse and Gardens is an exciting new community centre and gardens in Stratford E20 created to provide indoor and outdoor spaces to promote health and wellbeing opportunities for the local area and beyond.
The LightHouse offers classes, events, workshops and a variety of projects to support mind, body and soul whilst also being available to hire by practitioners, charities, businesses and individuals. Sitting alongside is the Gardens, a community-focused food growing and garden space with art, workshops and green areas for relaxation and calm. Find out more.
The Dovetail
The Dovetail is a place for the residents and neighbours of The Carpenters Estate to build connections, share skills, try out new activities and get involved with their local community. They run weekday activities, Tuesday – Friday, for residents and neighbours of The Carpenters Estate. Stop in for a cuppa, a chat and some great resident led workshops. Find out more.
Timber Lodge
Timber Lodge is a cafe and community hub that provide low-cost events and activities for the community. From comedy nights to soft-play Sundays, the welcoming atmosphere will keep you coming back for more. Timber Lodge is also the perfect place to hire out for a birthday party or celebration.
