This December, discover a brand-new festive tradition as Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park presents Winter Adventure.

From 1-24 December, your countdown to the festive season will come alive. Each evening at 6pm, a different Park venue opens its doors and unlocks a special, free activity for you to experience.

Expect a joyful mix of music, food, art, performance and sport with each moment celebrating east London’s creativity and the vibrant communities that make it so special.

What is Winter Adventure?

Each evening at 6pm from 1–24 December, a different Park venue will ‘open its door’ to reveal a free, short performance, activity or celebration – a Living Advent Calendar that reflects the season, the Park, and our local communities.

What are the aims of the event?

The objective of the Winter Adventure is that together, we’ll create a new festive journey in east London, one that’s celebratory, welcoming, and you can get involved in.

When are the events?

Winter Adventure is running 1-24 December 2025 at 6pm. However, Christmas Eve, 24 December, will start at Noon. Other events do start earlier but always run past 6pm, please check specific event pages for full details on that evening.

Where is Winter Adventure?

Each evening of Winter Adventure will be a different location across Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The full schedule is listed, with more details about each activity to follow. Register your interest to be the first to hear updates about activities.

Is everything at Winter Adventure free? Will I have to pay for anything?

Entrance to all activities are completely free. However, there is a charge for food and drinks purchased from any cafés or restaurants around the Park.

Do I need to pre-book a ticket for any events?

The majority of activities at Winter Adventure are un-ticketed. However, due to capacity at some venues, there are some events which require pre-booking a free ticket to guarantee your space. Click on the links below to pre-book for these events!

How do I get to the Park?

The Park is very easy to get to with multiple train, tube and bus options available. Please see the Getting Here page for more information.

Where can I park for Blue Badge Parking?

For Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Venues:

  • Permits must be registered at reception on arrival at both the Copper Box Arena and London Aquatics Centre whenever using these car parks.

For Lee Valley Venues:  

Blue Badge parking is for facility users, and they can park for free whilst in the venue, however, they are requested to register at reception each time they visit. 

Please be aware that Lee Valley car parks are operated by Better (Greenwich Leisure Limited) and not Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Is the event wheelchair friendly?

Step Free Access is provided across the Park, please refer to individual venue sites for confirmation on internal spaces.

Where are there accessible toilets?

There are public toilets at Riverside East in the south Park and Timber Lodge in the north Park. Both have accessible toilets with Changing Places facilities with and there is an accessible toilet in the London Aquatics Centre located near the café in the reception area.

Will there be toilets and baby changing facilities?

There are toilets at all venues with baby changing facilities. For the Parkland events there are venues close by with these facilities.

What are the expected number of attendees?

As events are taking place in different venues, there are different capacities at each location. Please register your interest for more information.

Please note, entry may be limited once the venue reaches capacity so prompt arrival is advised.

Will there be food and drinks available?

In addition to the Park kiosks and other retailers, there will be a variety of concessions that refreshments can be purchased from. These will offer a wide range of food and beverage options with vegetarian, vegan and halal options.

Do I need to bring anything to the event?

Just yourselves!

If the activity you have chosen requires you to book please follow venue instruction on bringing tickets. Please bear in mind that although most activities are inside, some are planned to be outside. So remember to check the weather forecast before you leave the house and be prepared for a range of changeable weather conditions.

Will there be somewhere to store my personal belongings?

Storage will not be possible at the majority of venues so please bring only essential items with you and keep them with you at all times.

Who should I contact if I've lost a personal belonging?

Please contact the venue that you were visiting that evening directly for best chance of retrieval of lost property.

Alternatively, contact Customer Services at customerservices@queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk who will check with the security team and Park Information Point.

Will there be photography and videography happening at the event?

Yes there will be professional photography and filming happening at all evenings of Winter Adventure. By joining us at Winter Adventure, you may be photographed or filmed and these may be shared in marketing materials.
