V&A East Community Engagement programme, led by Gus Casely-Hayford, brings objects from the collection out to schools in east London, with the aim of opening pathways into the creative industries and revolutionise access to the V&A collections.Read more about V&A East work
The BBC is supporting music making in East London schools through teacher CPD, schools concerts and workshops, collaborations with partner schools, and access to a wealth of classroom resources through BBC Ten Pieces, BBC Young Composer and BBC Teach. The BBC Meet a Musician programme is open to schools in Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Newham, offering inspiring workshops in schools with musicians from the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Singers.
