East Bank

An unprecedented collection of world class cultural anchors in one place

East Bank is the UK’s newest cultural quarter at the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The place where everything happens entertainment, inspiration and discovery.

Since the Olympics in 2012, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has been evolving; it is one of the largest and most visited green spaces in London and since 2015 has seen an increasing amount of development as the legacy of the games is delivered through the creation of new homes, leisure, and workspaces.

Opening from Autumn 2023, East Bank is a unique collaboration between cultural institutions, world-leading universities and the people of the Olympic boroughs. East Bank represents the biggest ever cultural investment by the Mayor of London, with support
from HM Government and the four Olympic boroughs. A unique collaboration between world-leading universities, arts and cultural institutions which include:

  • BBC Music Studios, bringing state-of-the-art studios to east London, hosting recording sessions and live performances.
  • World-class dance from Sadler's Wells in a new cutting edge, 550-seater theatre and hip-hop academy, Sadler's Wells East.
  • A state-of-the-art new campus for UAL: London College of Fashion with a vibrant cultural programme including exhibitions, showcases and performances.
