Be amazed by THE HERDS, a hugely ambitious new public artwork, which features life-size animal puppets stampeding through the Park from Westfield Stratford City on Sunday 29 June. You'll see elephants, giraffes, antelope and lions in a spectacle which defies belief.
THE HERDS is on a journey from Africa, through Europe and UK, travelling north towards Scandinavia and the Arctic Circle to flee climate disaster.
After moving through Westfield Stratford City, the puppets will enter the Park alongside specially commissioned choreography by Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Alesandra Seutin. Dancers will try to stop THE HERDS in every possible way.
Presented by The Walk Productions, THE HERDS follows the international success of The Walk in 2021, which saw a 12-foot tall puppet of a Syrian refugee girl called Little Amal travel from Turkey to the UK.
