SEEDED: Sadler's Wells East

Sadler's Wells is a world-leading dance organisation that celebrates dance in all its forms. They create and share new dance work, supporting artists and engaging diverse audiences and, in 2025, opened Sadler's Wells East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Sadler's Wells East is a new centre for performance, participation, learning and innovation.

Sadler's Wells East would like to invite a dance artist with a socially engaged practice to be in residency and create a workshop/event for the Dance Floor. The dance artist should look to create a workshop/event for one of the following categories:

  • Children (aged 2-6) and their carers

  • Intergenerational units (16-96)

  • Night-time economy (18+)

Artists with a strong background in community dance and experience in working within a professional dance context. Applicants should have a proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality dance projects in a community setting, engaging diverse participants through inclusive and creative practice. Artists will be required to provide references and examples of previous work that demonstrate their experience, approach and impact.

You'll be hosted by

The Learning and Engagement and Programming departments – though the exact placement with a lead department will be defined depending on the successful applicant’s area of interest and experience.
