National Fitness Day 2020

Today is National Fitness Day, so why not celebrate at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – there are so many activities you can do to keep fit, there really is something for every challenge and ability!


Whether you’re on your lunchbreak or have all afternoon, you can enjoy a walk through our beautiful parklands. Wander through the wetlands, the home of hundreds of different birds, waterfowl and amphibians, or ramble through the many gardens the Park has to offer. With plenty of open space the Park really is the perfect place for a peaceful walk at your own pace.


If you’re looking to get your heart rate up a little bit more, put on those running shoes and explore hundreds of acres of pathways and flat land which is are suitable for all abilities, whether you’re just starting out or are looking for a challenge – you can find your perfect run around the Park. There’s also plenty of open space to find a quiet spot for your workout, or head to the open-air gym to pump some iron in the fresh air!

Follow the markings and relive the thrill of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games – you’ll hear the sounds of Team GB and ParalymicsGB success, and have the opportunity to get active as you see how you measure up against the best sporting stars in the world!


Why not explore by bike – the Park has 310 docking points for London's cycle hire scheme, Santander Cycles, making it easier than ever to hop on your bike! Or take advantage of the newly extended Barclays Cycle Superhighway from central London (Aldgate) to Stratford City.


Alongside the incredible open space of the Park sit iconic sporting venues where you can work up a sweat. Take a dip in the Pool of Champions at the London Aquatics Centre, get your thrills on two wheels at Lee Valley VeloPark or take advantage of the world-class facilities at the Copper Box Arena.
