Story 21/06/2019

All month long, the Park will play host to free outdoor sports sessions – including yoga, running, basketball, cycling and exercise classes. Our partners around Park will also be getting on board – for example, IQL will be running a range of exciting events at Endeavour Square at the entrance to the Park – including the chance to get your dancing shoes on and learn to dance ceilidh or swing!

The last two weekends of July will be the biggest and best with UK Athletics Festival of Athletics, centred around London Stadium and running 18–21 July. There’ll be a Couch to 5k run, as well as the Müller Sports Day for schools and the London Borough Connect relays which include the chance for lucky local schools to race in the Stadium on the day of the Diamond League (18–21 July).

The Park will also be part of National Park City’s waterways festival on 27 and 28 July and to celebrate the opening of our pontoon in the south of the Park, there’ll be lots of free chances to get active on the water, including canoeing and rowing! Or you can just appreciate the Park’s green spaces by going for a walk with one of our free trail guides.

Activities will be aimed at a range of ages, ability levels and skills – so why not come along and join in?
