Jamie Kerr joins London Legacy Development Corporation Board

Press Release 08/01/2021

London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has today [8 January] announced the appointment of Jamie Kerr to its Board with immediate effect.

Jamie is a Chartered Surveyor with more than 30 years’ experience in property development and finance. He was MD Strategic Partnerships at LCR Property focusing on major projects such as the Waterloo Retail, Axis in Birmingham, Mayfield in Manchester and International Quarter in Stratford. He was responsible for LCR’s collaboration with Network Rail carrying out a strategic selection exercise of their 1,900 stations to identify commercial opportunities.

The London Legacy Development Corporation was established to build on the success of the 2012 Olympic Games and drive forward regeneration, growth and investment in east London. It has full planning powers and works closely with the four neighbouring boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

Sir Peter Hendy CBE, chair of LLDC, said: “Jamie’s wealth of experience and knowledge in the development, real estate and transport sectors will be a great addition to our Board. I look forward to working with him to help steer this unique regeneration project to deliver economic growth, thousands of jobs and new homes.”

Jamie Kerr said: “This is one of the most exciting regeneration projects in the country. I’ve worked with some of LLDC’s partners in the past, particularly at IQL and Network Rail, and look forward to being even more involved in helping to create a new part of the city with world-class universities and cultural bodies at East Bank, new business districts, incredible transport infrastructure and new housing. I am delighted to join such a talented and ambitious board to help deliver lasting results for the people of east London.”
