BEACHEAST UK LARGEST URBAN BEACH BRINGING A TASTE OF RIO TO THE PARK

Soak up a tropical beach atmosphere without leaving London this summer. The UK’s largest urban beach will feature a vast stretch of sumptuous white sand, a huge kid’s paddling pool, funfair rides, two beach bars and a host of sporting events and activities for all the family.

Friends and families can enjoy a Rio-inspired staycation at east London’s answer to the famous Copacabana beach. Spend the day with family and friends building sandcastles, having fun at the fair and enjoying seaside snacks in the Stratford sunshine.

Boasting 1,000 tonnes of sand spread over 2,200 sq metres of Stratford Waterfront beside the former Olympic Stadium, with a huge paddling pool, BeachEast will have something for everyone. Screams will be on offer alongside ice cream as the popular rollercoaster and rides return to give thrill-seekers an action-packed funfair experience.

After a hard day in the office, come and cool off with a beer or wine at one of our beach bars or a sundowner cocktail, mocktail or fruit juice or two. Full details on evening entertainment will be revealed throughout the summer but a Brazilian vibe is guaranteed!

What’s more, from 6-21 August, come and visit the Official Team GB FanZone at BeachEast to watch live coverage of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on the big screen and participate in some of the sports that our Team GB stars will be competing in.

The BeachEast FanZone will be a fantastic place to experience the action and soak up the sizzling atmosphere of Rio 2016 while supporting the Team GB athletes in their quest for Olympic glory.

There will be live entertainment, DJs, themed events and cracking competitions will ensure there is always a Rio carnival atmosphere at BeachEast.

Celebrating a sporting summer on the Park, there will be a packed programme of fun beach activities throughout the holidays including beach volleyball.
