Procurement Apprenticeship

The LLDC Procurement team forms part of the LLDC Commercial & Procurement team which is responsible for managing the overall commercial performance of the LLDC.  The Procurement team is responsible for the purchasing of goods, services and construction works for everything the organisation needs to function and deliver its objectives at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.  The role plays a very important part in what we do at the LLDC as we need to make sure that we are getting the best value for money, in full compliance with the law.  The role is essentially about engaging with internal team members and the supplier market in a creative and effective way to make sure the organisation contracts with the right suppliers, to get the right services for the right prices, at the right time.

During the 2-year programme you will gain a real insight into the full procurement cycle including defining the requirements, designing competitions, tendering, contracts and performance management.  You will learn about contract law and EU and UK public procurement regulations whilst achieving a level 3 Diploma and an advanced certificate in procurement and supply which is endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at a busy and exciting time as we deliver the most ambitious Arts, Culture and Education legacy developments in Europe!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people with 4 GCSE's including Maths and English preferably at a grade A-C.   You will be competent with both verbal and written communications and have excellent attention to detail as dealing with complex documents will be part of the job.  Above all, we are looking for someone with the enthusiasm and motivation to successfully complete the programme and make the most of this great opportunity.

In return we will pay you the London Living Wage and give you 25 days annual leave (plus public holidays).
