Planning Technical Executive
£29,990 per annum
The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has been established to promote and deliver physical, social, economic and environmental regeneration in the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its surrounding area, in particular by maximising the legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and supporting and promoting the aim of convergence. As the Local Planning Authority for its area the Development Corporation is responsible for preparing a Local Plan and Community Infrastructure Levy as a key part of its strategy to promote and deliver regeneration. We are also responsible for the determination of planning applications and the management of appeals and planning enforcement.
Providing high level day to day administrative support to the Planning Policy and Decisions team the Planning Technical Executive will carry out all administrative procedures relating to the receipt and processing of planning and related applications, including maintaining the Statutory Register and similar records in accordance with the relevant legislation by entering data on the specialist Planning Application System. The Planning Technical Executive will validate planning applications and will also assist with the administration of enforcement and appeals cases, within statutory time limits.
Reporting to the Head of Development Management and working closely with the Planning Administration Manager you will assist in the design, development, implementation, monitoring and review of policies, procedures and administrative support for planning and development management.
In addition to carrying out general administration such as photocopying, filing, scanning and faxing you will act as a point of contact for members of the public and stakeholders, responding to information requests, including researching LLDC records and other information sources, as necessary to provide accurate information relating to planning policy and development management matters.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of working in a technical planning support role and have experience of records management (paper and electronic) and clerical/administrative procedures, ideally with some experience of Planning Applications System software.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of all Microsoft packages and the ability to adapt to use new software packages.
