The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has been established to promote and deliver physical, social, economic and environmental regeneration in the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its surrounding area, in particular by maximising the legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and supporting and promoting the aim of convergence. As the Local Planning Authority for its area the Development Corporation is responsible for preparing a Local Plan and Community Infrastructure Levy as a key part of its strategy to promote and deliver regeneration. We are also responsible for the determination of planning applications and the management of appeals and planning enforcement.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Planning Administration Manager, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced front line, customer focused administrator to support the LLDC Planning Policy and Decisions Team (PPDT).

This is a busy, fast paced environment; the role will involve providing high level of administrative support to the PPDT team, while working closely with the Planning Administration Manager to develop and improve existing systems to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of planning reception.

Alongside general admin tasks (scanning, filing and photocopying), the role will include but is not limited to maintaining a comprehensive data entry system; both paper and electronic. As well as sustaining up-to-date technical information and reference materials.

Quality customer service is paramount and this post will play a key role in ensuring that LLDC’s reputation for quality service is upheld. It will be the duty of the team administrator to ensure all members of the public and our stakeholders receive only the best service whether this is, assisting in resolving customer queries, taking and recording messages or liaising with them directly.

The Person

To be successful in this role you will have experience working in a diverse frontline, customer service focused support role. Experience in a planning administration role and the associated processes and systems (both manual and electronic) is desirable. A familiarity of record management (both paper and electronic) and clerical/ administrative procedures is a must.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge / experience of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, along with strong English grammar, numeracy and keyboarding skills. A knowledge / experience of Planning IT systems is desirable. You must be exceptionally organised with the ability to prioritise work load and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work with attention to detail.
