We are looking for a talented and experienced Development Manager to support the implementation and delivery of major ‘Olympicopolis’ development projects. The Role

This role is a fantastic opportunity to directly support the Director and Heads of Development on this exciting project which you will do in the following ways:

• Define project outputs, outcomes, risks & issues and undertake day to day real estate activities such as dealing with disposals and acquisitions and CPO negotiations.
• Manage relationships with significant stakeholders.
• Negotiate complex, sensitive and often contentious commercial agreements.
• Procure and manage consultants to support project delivery whilst ensuring compliance with LLDC policies and procedures.
• Prepare Project Initiation Documents and Business Cases to submit to the relevant decision making forums.

The Person
Knowledge and Experience
To apply for this role you must have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as Project Management or Surveying or be able to demonstrate the equivalent through experience.  We are looking for someone who has experience of managing property development projects from inception through to completion.  It is essential that the successful candidate possesses an up-to-date knowledge of property and planning law and regeneration best practice with an in-depth understanding of property development financial analysis and funding mechanisms.  The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate experience of successfully negotiating development and disposal contracts with external partners.

Skills and Abilities
This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will enter into commercial negotiations and must be able to effectively influence decisions.  Effective project management skills and good interpersonal and team working ability are also a must in this role.   We are looking for someone with a flexible attitude who will be able to adapt and thrive in an environment where the workload is busy and varied.  The successful candidate will have strong analytical, numeric and critical reasoning skills and problem solving capabilities whilst being commercially astute and focused on delivery.
