£45,759 per annum
18 month fixed term contract
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is London’s newest urban park – so much more than your average green space. Covering over 45 hectares, the parklands provide a diverse landscape rich in character, horticultural excellence and wildlife habitat. Full public access will make the park a highly accessible destination for local communities as well as for visitors from much further afield. The Park will offer a wide range of recreational opportunities as a place for events, culture, sport and entertainment as well as healthy living, ecology, and biodiversity. Park Operations and Venues are responsible for the delivery of a diverse complex maintenance and works programme across the QEOP parklands and venues associated with the delivery of the Estates and Facilities Management services.
The Capital Programme Manager will provide a technical client role for the EFM services provided to the QEOP park and venues with oversight of the capital projects programme and will lead on the delivery of assigned projects. Responsible for investigating and developing responses to requirements generated by EFM related queries you will also provide technical advice and support to the Head of E&FM and Director of Estate and Park Management.
We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain robust systems to facilitate the smooth gathering and reporting of key management information and advising the relevant parties on key risks. You will provide programme management expertise and advice to the team ensuring that all projects have a project plan, risk register and appropriate approvals as well as providing technical input and budget support. A part of this role will be to provide reports and forecast status’ on projects and provide management with regular and accurate progress analysis and evaluation.
We are looking for someone with an HNC or equivalent in building services or a comparable discipline, or membership of professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or CABE. You must be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and experience of project management and project control techniques and have a strong track record of successfully managing capital budgets and resources. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be able to communicate technical matters with a simple and direct approach and successfully engage partners. We are looking for someone who has the ability to identify practical solutions to complex problems and has the ability to initiate and manage changes and improvements.
