Arts and Culture Coordinator
£24,410 Per Annum
Permanent contract based in Stratford, East London
We are looking for a talented and creative individual with a passion for contemporary arts and culture, and a strong interest in the regeneration of East London to support the delivery of this new phase of the LLDC’s arts and culture strategy and activities. In this exciting role you will be directly supporting the Head of Arts & Culture and providing valuable assistance with:
- Research tasks
- Co-ordination of all LLDC arts and culture activities
- Co-ordination of a network of internal and external stakeholders
- Arranging project meetings and logistics
- Provide assistance with budget tracking and monitoring
- Co-ordination of marketing and communications requirements for arts and culture activities
Knowledge and Experience
To apply for this role you must be degree educated or have equivalent experience of working within the arts with up to date knowledge of current arts and culture practices in London. We are looking for someone who has previously worked on a variety of arts and/or cultural projects with the experience of co-ordinating a range of activities to deadlines and under pressure. Experience of working in a cultural institution would be beneficial. It is essential that the successful candidate possesses an understanding of the complexities that can be involved in the delivery of an arts and culture strategy in east London, and that they have a commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities throughout the arts.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role as you will be required to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. We are looking for someone with a flexible attitude who will be able to adapt and thrive in an environment where the workload is busy and varied. The successful candidate will have a proficiency in the Microsoft office packages (Word, Power point and Excel) and have the ability to analyse and present accurate data in a variety of business formats.
