Active People Active Park Project Manager

Please note that this is a London Sport position for a project in partnership with the London Legacy Development Corporation.

Circa £35,000 per annum (salary grade currently being reviewed) 

Full time 35 hours per week with some evening/weekend working as required

London Sport is a not-for-profit organisation and the strategic body for sport and physical activity in London; our vision is to make London the most physically active city in the world. 

Active People, Active Park is a three-year participation project, funded through Sport England’s Community Sports Activation Fund. The aim is to provide physical activity opportunities for existing and new communities within the four Growth Boroughs in a 1 mile radius of new ‘neutral’ spaces and venues in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford.  

London Sport is working with the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and a number of delivery partner organisations, between 2014 and 2017, to deliver The Active People Active Park project.  

We are now seeking an experienced and skilled project manager. The successful candidate will have; 

  • a proven track-record of planning and delivering projects with multiple partner agencies, 
  • excellent organisational and leadership skills and 
  • the ability to work successfully with disparate partners and funders to achieve a common aim. 

They will also have good knowledge of sports development in East London, of the LLDC area and of the challenges faced in raising activity levels in this area.
