£29,693 Per Annum (Part time 18.5 hours per week Pro rata £14,847)
2 Year Fixed Term Contract - based in Stratford, East London

Active People, Active Park provides new activities for existing and new communities within the four Growth Boroughs in a 1 mile radius of new ‘neutral’ spaces and venues in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.  Activities are designed to attract new users and assist in converting lapsed ‘customers’ into regular participation. Emphasis is on activities for young people (14-25) including single gender sessions, intergenerational interventions, families and a bespoke offer for Adults (25+). 
The project includes 26 delivery partners from a breadth of backgrounds including National Governing Bodies, four growth boroughs, local sports organisations, universities and new start-up businesses. The consortium works together to deliver a varied programme within the open spaces and venues in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and in the surrounding and new communities and seeks to create new markets.

The Role
We are looking for a self motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to provide effective support to our Active Park Active People Project Manager.  This is a varied and busy role and will involve being able to successfully manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and demanding environment, working on events and activities delivered by local organisations on the Park.

As a Project Support you will:

• Provide support with the administration and delivery of events.
• Assist with the preparation of relevant project documentation such as Project Initiation Documents and Business cases.
• Monitor and track project budgets and be able to provide up to date and accurate information when requested.
• Deal with any purchasing and invoicing requirements for relevant projects.

The Person

Knowledge and Experience
This role would be ideal for someone with proven experience of working on projects that have involved the organisation of events and activities.  You must be able to demonstrate that you have had some previous experience of supporting the procurement and supervision of event organisers and providing support in the preparation of contractual agreements and documentation.  As someone who has previously worked in project environment you will have experience of providing reports on milestones, key issues and risks to Project Managers in previous roles. 

Skills and Abilities
This role will involve a variety of administrative tasks so the post holder will need to be proficient in Microsoft Programmes such as Word, Excel and Power point.  Excellent verbal and written skills are essential in this post as you will be required to liaise with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally to the organisation.  We are looking for someone with good organisational skills who has a flexible approach to working and can adapt and respond to a busy workload.
