Fives year after the thrilling London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Park will take centre stage once more for a spectacular Summer of World Athletics!
Over ten days, the world’s greatest athletes will bring the roar back to the iconic stadium that saw Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Greg Rutherford sprint to glory. And it won’t just be the athletes setting new records...
London 2017 is also the first time that the IAAF World Championships and the World Para Athletics Championships will be held in the same summer, in the same city. That means 245 events over 20 days of sporting drama, 3,300 athletes from around the globe, and one golden opportunity for you to be part of the action – and history in the making.
Please visit the official London 2017 website for more information on Hero Village (a free interactive area full of activities and energy), the event timetable and a list of prohibited items.
Want to make a day of it on the Park? Get a bird's-eye view over Hero Village and the iconic Park venues from the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit with early bird tickets for general entry (£10 adults/£5 children available on the door between 9-10am on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August) and exclusive late night openings every night throughout the Championships until 9pm. Across two viewing platforms, suspended 80 metres up in the air, the ArcelorMittal Orbit is also home to the world's longest and tallest tunnel slide! Tickets are flying out the door almost as fast as Usain Bolt's 100m World record - therefore it is advised that you book your tickets in advance!
