In July and August 2017, the Park will light up for a spectacular Summer of World Athletics.

It will be the biggest global sporting event of the year – and you’re invited.

Over four magical weeks, the world’s top athletes will bring the roar back to the iconic stadium that saw Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Jonnie Peacock sprint to glory. And it won’t just be the athletes setting new records...

London 2017 is also the first time that the IAAF World Championships and the World ParaAthletics Championships will be held in the same summer, in the same city. That means 245 events over 20 days of sporting drama, 3,300 athletes from around the globe, and one golden opportunity for you to be part of the action – and history in the making.

Security and personal belongings
We are working closely with the Metropolitan Police and the Mayor of London to do everything possible to protect visitors to the Park. If you are visiting London Stadium, please allow a little more time for bag checks and searches and consider if you need to bring a bag with you. For more information, please visit the London 2017 website.
