Make the Future Live is a free festival of ideas and innovation and will be returning to the Park from Thursday 25 until Sunday 28 May, 2017. You will be able to experience bright ideas from school children, students, entrepreneurs and industries coming together to explore what a lower-carbon energy future might look like.
At the heart of the festival is Shell Eco-marathon Europe, which challenges students to design and build ultra energy efficient cars, then drive them on a purpose-built track at the Park to see which can travel the furthest on the least amount of energy. The current record stands at 3,771km – that’s from London to Helsinki and back again on just one litre of fuel! Check out the video below for more information.
There’s also a dedicated schools’ programme for Make the Future Live. Festival registration for schools is now open, as is Shell’s cross-curricular competition – The Bright Ideas Challenge. For more information visit www.shell.co.uk/mtfschools.
This festival is hosted over the bank holiday weekend and will be packed with celebrity guest appearances, live performances, immersive experiences and more, so bring along your family and friends and try out the bright ideas for yourselves; test them, improve them, offer your own, and help make the future!
