More than 5,000 people have already played a part in building and transforming the Park. In the future it will be home to big and small companies alike in offices and studios, while at the same time encouraging growth in existing businesses in the area.
In total more than 20,000 jobs could be created by the Park by 2030, including spin-offs in the local economy, with a cumulative economic value of more than £5 billion. We want to make sure that local residents have access to those jobs, apprenticeships and training programmes.
Released on 9 October 2017, new figures have shown that east London is the fastest growing area of the capital, with 110,000 additional jobs created since the 2012 Olympic Games. According to an Oxford Economics report, this boom is expected to continue with an additional 125,000 jobs created across Barking & Dagenham, Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest, by 2030.
