Education visit booking form

The Park is an amazing place to explore, and is one big outdoor classroom! Teachers and group leaders are able to bring groups independently or book a visit with a member of our experienced Park team. We work with teachers and local group leaders who would like to bring a group to the Park and bring a range of subjects to life.  We focus on connecting local people to the Park in an engaging and inspiring way.

We work with you to develop a visit that reflects your groups’ interests and needs. Education visits are aimed to cater for a range of age groups and curriculum areas:

Conservation and Biodiversity (Key Stages 1 and 2)

Students can explore the Parklands by completing a Biodiversity Treasure trail, discover wetland habitats and ponds through a supervised pond dipping session and take part in seasonal conservation activities (varies depending on the time of year)

Energy and Sustainability (Key Stage 3)

This visit begins the in the Park’s Visitor Centre at Kings Yard, the heart of the Park’s sustainable energy centre. After an introduction to energy production students will head onto the Park for a wider tour introducing them to how the Park evolved from one of the most sustainable Games venue ever to an emerging sustainable development where people live, work and socialise.

Education visits are between 2-3 hours long, occur on a weekday between 9am-4pm and must be pre-booked. Our team requires a minimum of four weeks' notice. A limited number are available to schools and groups from the host Boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Newham free of charge.

For groups who are not within the boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham a small fee will apply.
Please complete the booking enquiry form below and a member of the team will be in touch
All students and young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied and fully supervised by an adult. Risk Assessments for activities are carried out for the visits, but supervising adults are responsible for young people under 18 in their group for the duration of the visit. The Park is a constantly changing site which makes it both exciting and unpredictable! Our Parklife reserves the right to cancel a visit up to a week in advance. We appreciate that timetables change, but ask that you do as much as you can to honour your booking. Your non-attendance results in other groups missing out on the opportunity.

Our Parklife is a Community Interest Company on the Park that coordinates education visits for local schools and community groups as well as delivering the Park Champion Volunteer Programme and Customer and Mobility services.
