If the FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon or Women’s Hockey World Cup has inspired you to get up, get out and get active, the Park is the perfect place to start! Check out our hints and tips on how you can get started.

Take a walk through the beautifully landscaped 2012 Gardens in the south of the Park and admire some of the most unique and celebrated fauna from around the world before heading to the north of the Park where the wetlands will make you feel like you are a world away! Follow the path down the River Lea and see if you can spot any of the wildlife that calls the Park its home or and walk in the shadow of the iconic venues from London 2012. With over 560 acres of Parkland and playgrounds to explore walking isn’t the only way to get around! If the Tour de France had you reaching for the pedals explore the pathways of the Park and beyond by bike. With seven Santander Docking Stations on the Park and over 1,000 bicycle racks it really couldn’t be easier, whether you are starting, ending or enjoying the whole of your journey in the Park there is plenty to discover. From the ArcelorMittal Orbit in the south of the Park to the Lee Valley VeloPark in the north, the Santander Bicycle Docking Stations are perfectly located to help you make the best of your time on the Park and explore it to the full! Active August is back and with over 100 free sessions of sports taking place, the Park is the perfect place to get outdoors and get involved this summer! Everyday throughout the month the Park will be host to a range of sporting activities for all ages and abilities. From running groups to cycling, stretching out at yoga, street or musical dance and even canoeing on the waterways there is something for everyone!
