CLEANING THE SCREAMS AWAY! 75,000 MORE TICKETS FOR THE SLIDE AT ARCELORMITTAL ORBIT!

CLEANING THE SCREAMS AWAY! 75,000 MORE TICKETS FOR THE SLIDE AT ARCELORMITTAL ORBIT!

Story 28/02/2017

Due to huge demand, thousands more tickets have been released to #RideTheSlide throughout spring and summer 2017.

It is estimated that Britons spend around 560 million hours tidying up their homes in a thorough spring cleaning tradition that burns a combined 3.4 billion calories! Over at the ArcelorMittal Orbit, with the help of Wire and Sky, the world’s longest and tallest tunnel Slide underwent a thorough spring clean of its own. This was sure to get rid of any lingering screams from the hair-raising ride in preparation for 75,000 more Sliders!

Since opening in June 2016, the attraction has proved immensely popular. Thousands of excited visitors have passed through the doors to the ArcelorMittal Orbit - so much so that The Slide was almost completely sold out throughout Easter and summer last year!

At 178m long, Sliders can expect to reach speeds of up to 15 miles per hour through its curves, drops and 12 loops, including the almighty ‘bettfeder’ section.

The new release tickets for The Slide are available until 31 October 2017, so make sure you book ahead to avoid any disappointment.

BOOK THE SLIDE

If you’re a daredevil like the cleaners from Wire and Sky, why not follow in their footsteps (without the cleaning) and take on the UK’s highest freefall abseil which starts at ArcelorMittal Orbit on April 1 2017. Thrill seekers have already snapped up many of the slots available to take the thrilling descent back to the ground, with some dates still available until September 2017. As with The Slide, places are filling up quick so be sure to book in advance.
